Fisher Houses I, II, III, IV, V

The five Fisher Houses at NSA Bethesda provide a home away from home for families of patients admitted for medical care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and patients receiving outpatient care. Fisher Houses represent a commitment to provide quality care and support to patients and their families during a time of need. The houses offer comfortably furnished private rooms with an adjoining bathroom and common areas such as fully equipped kitchens, pantries, living rooms, dining areas and laundry rooms that are complimentary for residents. All lodging fees for guest families are paid through a grant from the Fisher House Foundation. For eligibility information and to make a reservation, please contact the Fisher House manager.

MWR Recreational Lodging Annapolis

Stay or camp with us and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Chesapeake Bay, picturesque Annapolis, and The United States Naval Academy.

  • Tour The United States Naval Academy, learn about the history, and see where future Navy leaders are trained
  • Access to MWR facilities and services: Banquet Halls, Picnic Pavilions, Gym, Marinas, Banquet Halls
  • Tours and tickets, sailing classes, boats, kayaks, and outdoor recreational gear rentals at discounted prices

 

The Suites at USNA

A hotel with 16 one-bedroom suites in the heart of historic downtown Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy.
  • Fully equipped shared kitchen
  • WIFI service and laundry facility free of charge
  • Bath and coffee amenities are provided at check-in
  • Access to dining at The Naval Academy Club, The Alley (on the ground floor), and the 1845 Café
  • Short drive to the Navy Exchange, Commissary, and NSA Annapolis 

Queen Suites:
  • Approximately 300- 400 sq ft:
  • Queen bed, bathroom, living room or a living area, 2 TVs, dining table, a desk. 
  • A small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a sofa
  • Pull-out sofa (some rooms)
  •  One pet-friendly suite 

King Suites:
  • Approximately 750 sq ft
  • King bed, bathroom, separate living room, 2 TVs, dining table, writing desk, two electric fireplaces
  • Fully equipped kitchen with a full-size size refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, cooking, and dining utensils

 

The Campground at NSA Annapolis

Located across the Severn River at NSA Annapolis, a short drive from USNA and downtown Annapolis and a short drive from USNA and downtown Annapolis and within walking distance to The Navy Exchange, Commissary, USNA Golf Course, and MWR Services. 
  • Bathhouse with hot showers

  • Outdoor campfires authorized; on-site fire pit provided (certain restrictions may apply)

RV Pads (14 sites):
  • 30 x 50-foot concrete pad, 30-amp, and 20-amp outlets with a picnic table and charcoal grill 
  • On-site dump station

Primitive Tent Sites:
  • Pet-friendly shared camping areas
  • Charcoal grill and picnic table provided at each site

Who is Eligible to Stay?
  • Armed Forces active-duty members and their duty members 
  • Armed Forces retirees retired from active duty and their family members
  • Reserve Component members and their family members
  • Retired Armed Forces and Reserve Component and their family members
  • U.S. DoD civilians (APF and NAF)
  • Honorably discharged veterans with 100% service-connected disability
  • Veterans awarded the Purple Heart
  • Veterans who are former prisoners of war
  • All veterans with a service-connected disability
  • Individuals assessed, approved, and designated as the primary family caregiver of eligible veterans under the Department of Veteran Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers
  • Guests of the Armed Forces as determined by the Commanding Officer
  • Medal of Honor Recipients
  • Un-remarried surviving spouses of personnel who died while on active duty or while in retired Status and former spouses who were remarried to military members for at least 20 years while the military member was on active duty to the Armed Forces
  • Foreign nationals and sponsored guests may have additional restrictions
  • Staff and members of the Naval Academy Athletic Association and other private organizations affiliated with the Naval Academy and NSA Annapolis may be eligible for a waiver

Navy Getaways Solomons

Welcome to beautiful and inviting Navy Recreation Center (NRC) Solomons. The scenic vistas of the waterfront of the Chesapeake Bay are a part of daily life here, and a big reason why this has proven to be a popular and most-sought after location for vacations for our proudly serving military members and their families for years.  

Nestled on a peninsula bounded by the picturesque Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay in an area you'll soon agree is aptly called "the land of pleasant living," the bay and its rivers play an influence on the local lifestyle, including the choice in leisure pursuits.

Active duty military may make their reservations one year in advance of the requested arrival date. Retired military and DoD Civilians may make their reservations six months in advance of requested date. 

Pets are welcome on board NRC with proof of vaccinations for guest who are staying in RV's and tents. Pets are prohibited within all rental units. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation.  

RVs need proof of insurance & ownership.

Navy Lodge Bethesda

Navy Lodge Bethesda is conveniently located to family resources such as: Navy Exchange, Family Housing Center, Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Pubic Transportation (Metro Subway, Train system, Bus), Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, National Institute of Heath, and Navy Federal Credit Union.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is about 10 miles from Navy Lodge Bethesda with international and domestic flights. Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles (IAD), Virginia is 19 miles from Navy Lodge Bethesda. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in Baltimore, MD is 27 miles away.

A few local popular restaurants are, Bethesda Crab House, Black Finn, Benihana of Tokyo, Bangkok Garden and Georgetown Cupcake. The Taste of Bethesda festival, held each October, is where you are treated to dishes from dozens of local restaurants and music performances on four stages.

Other nearby attractions include: National Aquarium, The Music Center at Strathmore, Trolley Tours of Washington DC, The White House, United States Capital, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, National Cathedral.

Museums nearby are National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian Air &Space Museum, and Spy Museum.

White Flint, Montgomery, and Mazza Gallery Malls are all nearby and offer an excellent shopping experience.

Visiting Flag Quarters

Heroes Stay With Us!

Visiting Flag Quarters (VFQ) serves as Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) guest quarters. As such, VFQ provides temporary accommodations for Navy and Marine Corps flag and general officers, flag rank selectees, and foreign equivalent counterparts to the CNO or Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) who visit the National Capital Region on official business.

The VFQ consists of: 3, 2 and 1 bedroom DV suites (One 1 bedroom suites is ADA Accessible); Benjamin Latrobe Dining Room- Accommodates up to 12 guests; USS United States Reception Room- Accommodates up to 30 guests. Each suite has WIFI, DSN Line, NMCI access, printer and fax, Full Kitchen, Washer and Dryer.
