Child Development Homes

Providers offer developmentally appropriate programs that promote the overall social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth and development of the children in the homes while building school readiness skills. Military and Department of Defense spouses are trained to provide the same high standards of care in their homes as the Child Development Centers. Homes are monitored and inspected monthly to ensure they meet the Navy's child care standards. CDHs hold Department of Defense certification and participate int he USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program.
