Family Support Site Manager

Summary:

You will serve as a FAMILY SUPPORT SITE MANAGER in the Fleet and Family Support Center of NSF DAHLGREN.

Responsibilities:

You will administer work and family services (e.g., career assistance, transition, relocation) to verify services and information needed are available to support a community (e.g., military, civilian).
You will monitor work-life services delivery procedures for compliance with regulatory requirements and to meet community needs.
You will dvelop local networks with military and community agencies to enhance social services program delivery.
You will write policies for a command personal and family readiness program.
You will etablish performance standards for work and family life specialists to maintain and improve job performance.

Travel Required:

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
May be required to travel by military and/or commercial conveyance in the performance of official duties.
May be required to complete annual statement of financial disclosure.
Incumbent must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials necessary to perform work requirements.

Qualifications:

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing social/human services in accordance with state, federal and municipal human service laws, programs, polices and directives; 2) Counseling and interviewing clients to identify concerns and determine appropriate referral service/options; 3) Working with community social service delivery systems; and 4) Applying organizational and management techniques to direct complex social services programs.

Applicants must meet the Basic Education Requirements for the GS-0101, Professional Social Science Series: Have successfully completed a behavioral or social science degree, or a degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position being filled OR have a combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field OR have four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
